I have always been attracted to the water, fishing was inevitable for me. I was 5 years old when I first picked up a rod and fly fishing followed soon after. My parents bought me a Martin fly rod kit at the local Walmart in upstate NY where I grew up. When I was younger, I mostly fished the bass ponds on the golf course near my house. I would lay all the line out behind me in the fairway and take one big cast and strip it in. I quickly graduated to trying to fool brown trout in the stream that flowed through my backyard. I never looked back! I have since moved west to Oregon where I spend most of my down time looking for

anything that wants to eat a fly.
